December 2.007

This month is my birthday!!! Its soooo exciting, I had a cake with my friends of the Peerie Nippers playgroup on Thursday, and Louise (Jessica's mum) gave me a very soft reindeer. Granny and Grandpa came over on the 7Th, we went for lunch at the museum and then we visited Great granny, after that we went home and waited for Daddy coming back from work. Daddy cooked a paella and after that I had my presents, Granny and Grandpa gave me a tent with a tunnel and Mummy and Daddy an Ark with animals (a gorilla, a parrot, a teddy and a giraffe) they are great presents, aren't they?

On Saturday, the presents from uncle Sean, auntie Becky and my cousin Isla arrived on the post, they got me a pushing pelican and a pulling string cat, we called the cat Skimbles, because of theirs neighbours cat. I really like cuddling Skimbles.

On the afternoon I had my birthday party, there were balloons and lots of food. I had a very nice birthday with Great granny, Rosemary, Alan, Emma, Jim, Lesley, Eva, Leah, Liam, Callum, and of course with Mummy, Daddy, Grandpa and Granny, (poor Granny she wasn't feeling very well because she had a really bad cold). I got lots of lovely pressies, like a jacket, two hats, a pair of gloves, a pair of shoes, two shirts, a piano, and a teddy.

I was very tired after the party, because I was so excited during the day that I didn't had my nap, I slept a bit and then I had diner and Grandpa gave me a bath, we had a really good time!!

On Monday, Granny and Grandpa were gone, I really mised them, but Mummy says that they are going to come back very soon for Christmas. Mummy and I went to the playgroup Christmas party, I had a very good time with my friend Jessica, eating party food and waking along in the playgroup baby walker. The best thing was that suddenly we heard a bell and everybody got very quiet, all the mums took their children and went to one part of the room, everybody was smiling so I knew that everything was OK. We heard the bell a few times and then Santa Claus came into the room!! He was wearing a red coat, trousers and a hat, had a big white beard and... massive sunglasses? Mum thought that the sunglasses were quite funny. He had two big bags of presents and gave one present to every child, I got a wooden toy with four sticks that fit into four holes and if you press them they jump out, I still haven't got the hang of it.

Mummy asked Santa if it was OK for me to sit on his lap so she could make a picture, here you can see me with Santa Claus.

Christmas!!!

At last! Mummy decided that we should have a 'proper-natural' Christmas three this year, it is small but we'll put it in the garden when the weather gets better (Mummy says that probably July if we are lucky). Mummy and Daddy put Christmas decorations on it, but I decided to change the places some of them...

Another day Mummy found a Christmassy hat an decided that I looked so cute that she took some pictures of me...

Daddy arrived and we opened the daily window of my advent calendar...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! FELIZ NAVIDAD!!!

Granny and Grandpa arrived on the 23rd to stay with us during Christmas and look after Pepa when we go to Spain for New Year. We had a very good time, on the 24th Mummy and Daddy invited their friends Stephan and Lorraine for "Nochebuena" and on the 25th we invited Greatgranny for Christmas dinner. But the most exciting thing was wake up on Christmas day and see all the presents under the tree!!! I got a trike, some bath toys (a boat, a Nena and an orca), a dress, a jacket, two sets of plate, bowl and cutlery, books, a wooden musical bench...

We had some lovely days with Granny and Grandpa, and on the 28th we travelled to Spain to spend some days with Mummy's family.

Travelling!!

Mum and I went to Spain to be on my abuelo's 75th birthday, I'm nearly a year old, so I had been trying to imagine my life...times 75...wow!! and he doesn't look old at all. As soon as we out of the plane we went to my cousin Ivan birthday party, at 10:00pm!! I like the Spanish timetables, they are much babyfriendly than British ones, (this going to be at 8:30pm...definately not my thing). We got for Ivan a pijamas of the Power Rangers Mistyforce (some boy thing that he is into just now), and we also gave my cousin Diana her birthday present, a pijamas of Disney Princesses, it was an early present, but her birthday is on the 10th of December so, we won't be here at that time.

BATH!!

Coming back home we spend a long weekend in Bath, visiting uncle Sean, autie Becky and my little cousin Isla. Mummy and I arrived on Thursday night, and uncle Sean came to pick us up, he was a bit stressed because one of the toilets had broken down and water was coming out and there were some problems getting a plumber (shame that Elise's dad-aka the friendly plumber- wasn't there. On Friday, uncle Sean when to work and auntie Becky and Mum decided to go for a walk, but Isla and I joined forces to stay in, hehehe, when they were ready, Isla would be hungry, and then when she was full, I would need a nappy change, and then she would need one too, and then I would be hungry, and after that Isla would be hungry again. It was really funny seeing both up and down. When we finally went, Isla had a very big wet poo after 20 minutes and we had to come back (well done Isla!!! you teach them who controls who!!)Daddy joined us on Friday night.

On Saturday we when to town and Isla and I got our footprints in plates for Granny's Christmas gifts, I wasn't very sure about it but still enjoyed it, Becky and Mummy were very excited but Isla didn't like it at all...(same as me when i was about her age and Mummy used my footprints to send cards for the British Mother's Day and the Spanish Father's Day).

On Sunday we had a very relaxing day, we just pottered around the house...

On Sunday evening we had to go, to stay in a hotel close to the airport because we were going to go home very early in the morning. Soo early that I fell sleep during the flights:

At one of the airports they had a Christmas tree, it was the first one that I saw this year.

MY OWN ROOM!!

At last after a few weeks of painting I'm in my own room!! Daddy and Mummy painted the walls as and undersea landscape and then, they had great fun putting on stickers of marine animals like fishes, seahorses, octopus and so on. Here you can see some pictures of us with the stickers, and me helping them, of course...

Here there are some pictures of me and Pepa playing in my room, its great because now I don't get waken when Daddy gets up every morning!!!

Cruising!

Since I came back in September I haven't stopped practising my walking, now I'm cruising the furniture and Mummy has a very hard time to get a good picture of me as I don't stay still.

Grandpa and Granny's visit!!!

Mummy was busy writing a report about mussels, so Granny and Granpa came to look after me while she was doing it.
